Introduction
While organizations’ threats, such as natural disasters whether they result from a flood, a tsunami, and an earthquake, or from disasters caused by human such as terrorist attacks, political riot and social instabilities, can be devastating in their impacts. Recently, a new threats, so called technology disruptions, has shown thier significant influences to this world and still keep influencing more and more. Operational risk management has yet to prepare completely to reflect the threats facing organizations within modern global commercial environment. The ability of an organization to survive a crisis relies frequently on the field of operational contingency planning and crisis response—or Business Continuity Management (BCM).
BCPA Institute is an independent non-profit organization, founded in 2012 by a group of scholars and business professionals in the field of Business Continuity and Productivity from Asia-Pacific Coutries, aspiring to increase awareness of Business Continuity Management including Risk Management and Productivity Improvement to organizations in Asia-Pacific region.
Our Goals
- Establishing a reliable source of knowledge for Business Continuity Management (BCM) including Risk Management and Productivity Improvement in Asia-Pacific region.
- Increasing awareness among an organization about Business Continuity Management (BCM) including Risk Management and Productivity Improvement.
- Developing practical guidelines to assist organizations to develop Business Continuity Management (BCM) including risk reduction, Business Continuity Strategies, and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for building organizational resilience with the capability of an effective response to its potential threats as well as improving their productivity.
- Providing effective trainings relating to Business Continuity Management (BCM) including Risk Management and Productivity Improvement including Business Assurance through our corperate partners.
